Fundamentals of industrial automation

Fundamentals of Industrial Automation is an intensive course designed for anyone who needs to develop or update their automation knowledge.

Content of the training:

  • engineering
    • Automation in general, and the steps involved in introducing it into production.
  • Sensors
    • What are sensors, their classification and a detailed description of the most commonly used in industry.
  • tyres
    • What is a tyre and a description of the key components.
  • electric actuators
    • You will learn how they work, which types we know and their applications.
  • PLCs (Programmable Logical Computer)
    • PLC architecture, their use, and programming methods with practical demonstration.
  • control technology
    • Interfaces between and control of different levels of automated processes.

Terminology such as Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 is also discussed, but from a broader perspective related to the wider context of industrial automation.

Education results:

Understanding the basic building blocks of automation and their applications, from low-level components such as sensors to PLCs.

Suitable for anyone interested in automation, or already working in the field, or looking to work in the field. It is particularly suitable for engineers and technicians working in industries related to automation and process control, as well as for all entrepreneurs and craftsmen who are planning to introduce automation in their company.

Lecturer Slavko Erlah ing.el. has many years of experience in the field of process automation and robotics in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. He has been involved in numerous projects for the introduction of new and modernisation of old production lines.
