Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)

Engineering simulations enable the development of value-added products and are becoming an indispensable part of product development. The relatively long implementation time of simulations in product development is usually due to a lack of confidence in modern tools and a lack of familiarity with simulation processes. This workshop will provide participants with an introduction to the typical phases of CAE analysis for both structural and CFD simulations.

Participants will learn the basics of computer-aided engineering through numerical simulations. The basics of preparing an appropriate 3D model for analysis, the basics of preparing a numerical grid for structural and CFD analysis, the basics of performing a simple structural and CFD simulation and the basics of analysing the results of structural and CFD simulations will be covered.
