Description of the training:
Participants will learn about the process of designing a user-centred project. For a societal problem of their choice, they will learn the methods and techniques needed to take a project of this kind from conception to implementation. They will also learn the most basic software tools for designing web-based solutions as part of the methods and techniques.
Competences acquired:
- understanding the process of creating a user-driven project
- applying a learned method and technique to develop a project that addresses a chosen social problem
- use basic software tools to design web-based solutions related to a chosen social problem
- comparing different software tools for creating and designing web solutions, taking into account their strengths and limitations
- Preparation of a roadmap for a user-driven project, including methods, techniques and software tools
Lecturer: dr. Urška Fric
Dr. Urška Fric is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, where she is a lecturer in User Experience Design and the head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office. As a mentor of final theses at the master’s level, she has successfully completed application-oriented user projects, which have been transferred by the graduates to their work environments after the completion of their studies. She is also employed as a research associate at the Rudolf – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto.
The training will take place on 14 May 2024 and will last 4 school hours (9:00 – 13:00).
It will take place in a hybrid format via Zoom and in a lecture room at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, Ljubljanska cesta 31a, 8000 Novo mesto.
The price is valid for one participant per organisation.
