Description of the training:
Participants will first be given an overview of the EU’s legal framework for the circular economy and the financial instruments that support it. In the second part, they will be introduced to the meaning of the terminology that defines the circular economy and is key to understanding the approaches through which it is implemented.
Competences acquired:
- Understanding the purpose and importance of the legal framework for the circular economy in the EU.
- Understanding the role of financial instruments in supporting circular economy initiatives.
- Understanding the meaning and significance of key terminology related to the circular economy.
Lecturer: dr. Urška Fric
Dr. Urška Fric is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information
Studies in Novo mesto, where she is a lecturer in the course Designing User
Experience and the head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office. As a
tutor of theses at the master’s level, she has successfully completed application-oriented
user projects, which have been transferred by the graduates to their
work environments after the completion of their studies. She is also employed as a research associate at the Rudolf –
Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto.
The training will take place on 17 September 2024 and will last 4 school hours (9:00 – 13:00).
It will take place in a hybrid format via Zoom and in a lecture room at the Faculty of
Information Studies in Novo mesto, Ljubljanska cesta 31a, 8000 Novo mesto.
