User experience Part 2

Description of the training:

The workshop is a logical continuation of the first workshop (User Experience – Part 1). Based on the user-centred project design proposal, the participants will continue with the steps that follow from the identification of the key user group for the web solution to the prototype and its presentation in front of the users (Elevator Pitch).

Competences acquired:

  • understanding the concept of user-centred design and its importance in the development of web solutions
  • understanding the steps involved in the design process, from identifying key user groups to creating a prototype
  • summarising the phases following the initial design proposal, including user identification, prototyping and presentation of the Elevator Pitch
  • Applying the principle of user-centred design to identify the key user groups for the web solution
  • Application of the Elevator Pitch concept

Lecturer: dr. Urška Fric

Dr. Urška Fric is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, where she is a lecturer in User Experience Design and the head of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office. As a mentor of final theses at the master’s level, she has successfully completed application-oriented user projects, which have been transferred by the graduates to their work environments after the completion of their studies. She is also employed as a research associate at the Rudolf – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto.

The training will take place on 16 May 2024 and will last 4 school hours (9:00 – 13:00).

It will take place in a hybrid format via Zoom and in a lecture room at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, Ljubljanska cesta 31a, 8000 Novo mesto.
