Businesses are not the only ones reluctant to change. Going digital involves the introduction of new systems, roles and processes. With this comes the fear of the unknown, whatever the sector. Big business changes such as digitalisation are often perceived as threats rather than opportunities. This can make the work of managers even more challenging. In addition to managing the transition, they need to convince employees that it is a positive thing. Education/training focuses on understanding how the factors that influence the success and effectiveness of leading an organisation through the digitalisation process work.
The training aims to:
- Understanding the importance and multifaceted nature of a process approach to managing an organisation, with a focus on digitalisation.
- Understanding the interaction of factors that influence the effectiveness and efficiency of organisational management and processes.
- Applying modern approaches, models and tools to achieve and continuously improve organisational governance and digital processes.
- Reflection and critical evaluation of different experiences in the field of organisational management and digital processes.
- Understanding the complexity of the professional and social roles of employees in managing organisations and processes.
The training will be delivered by Peter Ferfoglia, a PhD student (graduate) in sociology and research assistant at the Faculty of Applied Social Studies in Nova Gorica. He graduated with honours and obtained his Master’s degree as a commercial engineer at the Faculty of Business and Technology of the University of Nova Gorica, where he was also an assistant professor. With more than twenty years of working experience in business and education as a project and work group leader and with a background in Human Resource Management and Administration (GEMA Rome), he continues and improves his research in business with his doctoral thesis “The emotional social network: discovering and understanding emotions in organisations”. His professional and research interests are in the field of training, consulting and human resources management for efficiency, effectiveness and employee satisfaction, addressing sociological issues using innovative methods and computing technologies.
The training will be delivered in a hybrid format – live at the FUDŠ premises on Leskoškova cesta 9e in Ljubljana and in a virtual environment (ZOOM).
The training starts at 9:00 and lasts until 13:00.
